Case Study
The Customer
A leading Photographic products retailer in Coimbatore, India - who offers photo printing services, custom made coffee mugs & T-shirts and cameras & accessories.
The Challenge
The company has been operating as a pure brick & mortar model. It has 3 branches in the city and sells a lot of photographic products like cameras, lenses, tripods, lights, albums, etc. It also offers high quality photo printing services. It’s speciality lies in offering custom made image books, calendars, coffee mugs, T-shirts, etc. with customer’s images imprinted on them.
The company wanted to offer all the above services for web customers, so that they may simply upload their image files on the web under the appropriate service, and get the finished product shipped back to them.
The biggest challenge was to create 6 different types of shopping baskets for their product & service offerings and link them all up for checkout. All prices had to be shown in 4 different currencies. Each basket has to hold not only the service price and spec details, but also the image files.

eCommerce - Indipendent System Architecture

The Solution
eBiz Global Corp sat through several sessions with the customer to understand their needs. eBiz also did research on the net to understand how companies with similar business model had set up their webshop. Combining all this information, eBiz came up with a prototype that more than satisfied the the customer’s need.eBiz offered an elegant solution for uploading set of files together for printing, calendars and image books. The interface was designed for use by novices. Finally the webshop was integrated with a leading Indian payment gateway company to facilitate acceptance of credit card, debit card and net banking.
Since the customer had no ERP or other software to import web orders, eBiz offered it’s standalone webshop where they can accept or reject orders, input shipment details and maintain all details relevant to the webshop transactions.
